Major debris flow disaster in 2010

Since 2010, landslides and mudslides caused by rainstorm and rainfall, with more than 30 people died included:

On January 1, at least 30 people were killed in two landslides triggered by downpour in the famous tourist island of Grand Isle in Rio, Brazil.

On March 1, a massive mudslide hit the bududa district of eastern Uganda, causing three villages to bury. Rescuers recovered 94 bodies and about 320 other villagers were missing.

On April 5, rainstorms in Rio, Brazil triggered floods and landslides and a total of 212 people died, 161 injured and more than 100 others missing.

On June 15, flood and landslide occurred in the southeastern city of Coxbazar and Bandoban because of downpour, causing at least 48 people to die and tens of people to miss.

On June 17, long-continued downpour in western Myanmar and Banglades triggered muslide disasters, causing at least 46 people to die.

On June 21, flood and mudslide hit northeast Brazil and at least 44 people have been killed and more than 1,000 were missing.

On August 6, flood, mudslides and other natural disasters triggered by downpour in Indian-controlled Kashmir caused at least 166 people to die and about 400 to miss.

On August 7, torrential rains in northern Pakistan triggered landslides and mudslides and at least 63 people died.

From September 2 to 5, a heavy rain that lasts 3 days triggered landslides in Guatemala, which caused 45 people to die across the country and nearly 50000 people to affect. The disaster caused great property losses, estimated as high as $375 million to $500 million.

On September 28, 2008, due to long-continued rain, many mudslides happened in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca and Chappas and at least 33 people were killed
