A panel tasked with compiling the 13th five-year development plan for the big data industry held a seminar at China Academy of Telecommunication Research (CATR) on November 25. Participants discussed a wide range of issues concerning big data technologies, big data safety, regulatory policies, legislation, as well as data sharing, trading and exchange. Experts from Alibaba, Datatang, Transwarp and CATR made separate reports on specific topics. The panel also sought professional opinions about the "13th Five-year Development Plan" for Big Data Industry (Draft version), and discussed relevant issues and revised the plan.
