To enhance coping capacity of prediction and management of regional storms and floods in Songliao Basin, the Songliao Water Resources Commission held the training course on prediction and early-warning against regional storms and floods allied with Dalian University of Technology in Dalian city from January 26th to 27th in 2018. Li ming, the deputy inspector of Songliao Committee attended the training course and made a speech. Besides, Yaoshan, the vice-principal of Dalian University of Technology gave a welcome speech. The officer from the National Commission Office of Disaster Reduction gave the advice. Liu Dajun, the vice inspector of Water Conservancy Department of Liaoning province attended the opening ceremony.
Combined with reservoir dispatching work during the huge flood in 2010 and 2013, the training course expounded the application and reflection on flood control theory. Besides, it made a detailed explanation on flood control of reservoir, hydrological prediction, disaster prevention and control of mountain torrent and urban rainstorm, etc. Through the training, the trainees understood the technology of reservoir prediction, mastered the research progress on local rainstorm and improved their ability to prevent and control flood in Songliao Basin.
