How to seek for help when the ship is in distress at sea

When the ship is in distress at sea, it usually sends out signal to the shipping company. Rescue base has the following channel for receiving signal:

(1) The shipping company makes a phone call directly to the base station;

(2) The shipping company applies to the maritime sector for help and the maritime sector informs the rescue base;

(3) Rescue base receives phone call from department and bureau.

According to the nature of the distress and the degree of emergency, if time allows, the ship in distress should tell the distress place, time, the nature of the distress to the rescue center as detailedly as possible so that the rescue center have corresponding ideological preparation and equipment and measures.
