According to the typhoon yearbook between 1949 and 1985, the statistics of rainfall data in the northeast region, the typhoon which caused light rain above (including the indirect effect of providing aqueous vapour) in the northeast area had three major categories of 9 paths.
There are four paths are belong to disappearing class:JiangNan disapper path, north of the HuangHe disappear path, and the area between BoHai with HuangHai and Korean Peninsula disapper path. Northward class has two paths: northwesterly one and northeasterly one. Veer class has three paths: turn east in the north of Korean Peninsula path, turn east in the south of Koreanp Peninsula path, and turn east at the Japanese strait.
The disappearing class of the typhoon has the biggest effect in the north-east area, several famous extraordinary rainstorms are all caused by this kind of typhoon. For example, the rainstorm between 18th and 20th in Augest 1953 was caused by the 10th typhoon. The 10th typhoon through Taiwan strait and landed at Leqing, Zhejiang, and turn to northwest, arrived at western Hubei and transfer to taopical depression, went north along the west of taopical depression, combined with the Mongolian cyclone move through the JiJin provice, this typhoon caused a extraordinary rainstorm in the Liaoling and Jinlin province. The center of the rainstorm is located in the LiangShui spring, XiFengxian, Liaoling provice, the maximum rainfall for three days is 354 millimeter. The rainstorm covrers the areas of middle and downstream of Liaohe, middle and upper reaches of the second Songhuajiang, and upper stream of Mudanjiang and Tumenjiang. The acreage of where rainfall exceed 100 millimeter is about 100000 square kilometers.
For another example, the rainstorm in Augest, 1960, the east of Liaoling was also caused by the 7th typhoon. The 7th typhoon landed at Fujian province on 1st Augest, and then went north along the west of tropical pressure, cooperate with Changjiang-Huaihe cyclone after transfered, caused a heavy rain in the south of Jilin and the east of Liaoling provice. The center of this rainstorm is the Heigou station in Pushi River, the maximum daily rainfall is 417 millimeter. The rainfall of Benxi station in Taizi River reached 303millimeter. The rainstorm covers the areas of middle and downstream of Liaohe, upper stream of Hunjiang, middle and downstream Yalu River and Liaotung peninsula. The acreage of where rainfall exceed 100 millimeter is about 102000 square kilometers.
Another example, the storm in the west of Liaohe, in July, 1962, was caused by the 5th typhoon. The 5th typhoon transfer to low pressure after landing at Fujian province, and then went north along the west of tropical pressure. The typhoon caused a large range of rainstorm combined with the Mongolia trough of low pressure and the influence of orographic uplift. The center of the rainstorm is the Shimiaozi station in the downstream of Lihe, Hebei province, the maximum daily rainfall is 354 millimeter. The rainfall of Renjiayingzi reached 303millimeter. The rainstorm covered the areas of west Liaohe, Lihe and some part of Haihe basin. The rainstorm in the west of Liaiohe is mainly in the Laoha River, Jiaolai River and the trunk range of western Liaohe, The acreage of where rainfall exceeded 100 millimeter in three days is about 4880000 square kilometers in this basin.
Northward class also caused the expecially large range of rainstom in the northeast area, but affct Jilin and Heilongjiang province. For example, the 5th typhoon in late August, 1957 and the 7th typhoon in late August, 1960, both of them through Korean peninsula and Changbai Mountain directly, reached the heartland of eastern. Most of the rainstorm area caused by the Northward class present in north and south strip, and mainly cover the upper stream of the sconed Songhua River and Yalu River, Tumen River, Mudan River, Suifen River, Wusuli River and Sanjiang plain area. The rainfall of the storm center over 200 millimeter. The acreage of where rainfall exceed 100 millimeter is above 100000 square kilometers. Northward class is the main weather system which caused the heavy rain in the Jilin and Heilongjiang province.
The typhoon, which belongs to veer class and turn the direction at the Huanghai, through the S peninsula in the North Korea and then entering in to the Janpan sea, always caused rainstorm in the south of Northest area and east mountainous region. Because the powerful east airflow at the front of the typhoon affected the southeast slope of the mountains, the rainfall is excessively much. For example, the 5th and 6th typhoons, 1962. The center of this rainstorm was in the Heigou, Kuandianxian. The rainfall reached 675 millimeter darily on 21st, July, and 794 millimeter from 6th to 8th, August. This kind of Typhoon often caused the heavy rain in the Liaodong peninsula and the middle and downstream of Yalu River.
