Derivative disasters are neither original nor secondary, but are caused by the transmission of disaster chains. After the occurrence of natural disasters, the harmonious conditions of human survival were destroyed, and a series of other disasters can also be induced, which appear as derivative disasters. For example, after the earthquake happens, if handled improperly, there may be social disasters such as plague, starvation, social unrest and psychological trauma in the disaster area. These are derivative disasters. For another example, on July 16, 2007 in Tokyo Niigata, two minutes after the earthquake at the Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Power Station, a water leakage accident involving trace amounts of radioactive materials occurred in the reactor No.6 unit, which not only caused psychological panic among the residents near the nuclear power station, but also aroused the Japanese deep concerns for the safety of nuclear power station. Another example is the extreme shortage of fresh water after the drought, forcing people to drink deeper groundwater with high fluorine content, which leads to fluorosis.
