A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Jiuzhaigou county in Southwest China's Sichuan province at 9:19 pm at the depth of 20 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang have called for all-out efforts on relief and rescue work.

The number of deaths rose to 20, with 431 injured, including 18 seriously, according to the local government.
22:00 pm, Wednesday
The number of deaths had risen to 19, with 343 injured, as of 22:00 pm Wednesday.
More than 50,000 tourists, including 126 foreign tourists, had been evacuated.
