Definition: Blizzard refers to the snow with a snowfall of more than 10mm within 24 hours. Blizzard is a kind of Snowfall Process of natural weather phenomenon.
There are four kinds of blizzard warning signals: blue, yellow, orange and red.
Defense guidelines:
1.Pay attention to the latest snow forecast and early warning information of the meteorological department;
2.Make preparations for road cleaning and snow melting;
3.Before the snowstorm comes, reduce outdoor activities, especially reduce vehicles as far as possible, and take shelter in a safe place;
4.Airports, highways and ferry terminals may be suspended or closed, and the travel plan shall be cancelled or adjusted in time;
5.Be prepared for cold protection and warmth preservation, and reserve enough food and water;
6.Do not stay in weak and unsafe buildings;
7.In agricultural and pastoral areas, grain and grass shall be prepared and wild livestock shall be driven to the enclosure for feeding;
8.Take anti freezing measures for crops to prevent them from being damaged by freezing;
9.Before winter comes, prepare enough food, feed, fuel and clothes to strengthen the house;
10.Be familiar with the living environment and set up landmarks. Prepare distress signals, snow supplies and medicine. Keep warm, avoid frostbite, and don't touch cold objects. Wear snow blind glasses when going out;
11.Prepare a snow shovel, flashlight and battery radio at home or in the car. Turn off the faucet outside to prevent the water pipe from bursting;
12.Store some salt, hay and sand to make the entrance of the house unobstructed.
