The direct economy losses because of the disasters

Converting the value of loss to the price at 2000, the loss is 153.6 billion yuan on average in 1950 s, 145.1 billion yuan in 1960 s, 164.8 billion yuan in 1970 s, 142.8 billion yuan in 1980 s, 140,6 billion yuan in 1990 s and 228 billion yuan in 2010 s(except 2008). You can refer to the statistical data in table 1-7. As for the reasons, first, in this period, the new industrialization and urbanization accelerated and the social wealth accumulated. So the damage to the economy and the loss of wealth was greater. And then, the expansion of economic has greatly expanded the scope of towns and development zones, including the area where should not be extended to. These places used not have any loss but now different. Last, the increase in economic has led to the frequent occurrence of man-made disasters and natural disasters which also increased the economy loss.
