The water resources distribution of Songliao River Basin

The water resources distribution of Songliao River Basin includes Songhua River area, Liao River region (2 first class areas and 14 second class areas). Administrative divisions include Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province, Liaoning Province, three autonomous region in eastern Inner Mongolia, three cities, one Union and Hebei Province Chengde City, a total of 42 cities.

In 2015, the average annual precipitation in Songliao River Basin was 498.4 mm, equivalent to the total precipitation of six hundred and twenty-two billion five hundred and twenty-seven million cubic meters, which was 3.2% less than the annual average. The surface water resources were one hundred and fifty billion two hundred and twenty-two million cubic meters and the runoff depth was 120.3 mm, 11.8% less than the annual average amount. The amount of groundwater and surface water is twenty-eight billion one hundred and fifty-seven million cubic meters and the total amount of water resources is one hundred and seventy-eight billion three hundred and seventy-nine million cubic meters, 10.4% less than the annual average.
