Affected by typhoon No.7503, there had been unusually heavy rainstorms in Zhumadiana, Nanyang, Xuchang in Henan Province. The rainfall of 6 hours in the rainstorm center was 830 mm, which is the highest record in the world. Because of the flood, two large reservoirs, two detention areas, two medium-sized reservoirs and 58 small reservoirs collapsed; 2180 banks breached; the water ponded in the plain about 12000 square kilometers; about 29 counties and cities, 11 million people and 1.13 million filed were affected; 5.6 million houses collapsed; 26000 people dead, the Beijing-Guangzhou railway was destroyed by 102 kilometers; the direct economic loss closed to 100 billion.
