On April 26, 2018, the construction programming task start meeting of the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the Auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST) was held in the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Han Qunli, Former executive director of the UNESCO’s Department of Natural Sciences and Executive director of the International Project Office of Integrated Research on Disaster Risk(IRDR), Xuan ZengPei, Former director of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Information and Communication and Space Technology department and Deputy secretary general of China Association of Inventions, Cai Zhiyong, Senior engineer of China National Chemical Information Center , Song Dexiong, Executive deputy director of IKCEST, Liu Chang, Director of division of international cooperation, IKCEST, Professor Wang Juanle, Associate Professor librarian Wang Shuqiang, and Associate Professor Yang Fei, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academic of Sciences (IGSNRR, CAS), Li Yang, National Science Library, CAS, and the team members of the project attended the meeting. Professor Wang Juanle moderated the meeting.
