Shandong Province
In 2014, the disaster situation in Shandong Province was lighter than that in recent years, mainly drought disaster, and the death and missing population was the lowest in recent years.
1.There are many kinds of disasters, and the loss of summer drought is the biggest
Drought, hail, typhoon, flood, low temperature freezing, snow disaster and other natural disasters occurred successively in the whole province, of which drought has the greatest impact. The dry grain weight of wheat in the wheat field with poor local soil moisture was reduced. The minimum precipitation period is from June 21 to July 23. The average precipitation of the whole province is 66.6 mm, which is 60% less than that of the same period of the year (159.3 mm), which is the minimum since 1951. The water level of Weifang, Linyi, Zaozhuang and other places was more serious, resulting in a large area of crops affected, local autumn crops were seriously poor, some people had difficulty drinking water, the production and life of the people in the disaster areas were seriously affected. From July 24 to 25, heavy rainfall occurred in Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai and Eastern Weifang, the drought in Shandong Peninsula and Southeast Shandong was relieved, and the drought in Northwest Shandong and eastern central Shandong was relieved. From August to September, affected by less precipitation, the drought developed again, the drought mainly distributed in Linyi, Zibo, Weifang, Tai'an and other mountainous areas.
2.The superposition of disaster and poverty is prominent and difficult disaster relief
Many disasters occurred in the whole year, and drought occurred repeatedly, lasting for a long time and affected a wide range, local areas suffered repeated disasters, resulting in large loss of crops and reduction of family income. In particular, the severe drought disaster areas are mainly concentrated in Yimeng mountain areas and some hilly areas with poor natural conditions and underdeveloped economy. In some areas, drought and hail disasters are superimposed, the total annual precipitation is relatively small, the surface runoff and groundwater can not be effectively supplemented, the water storage of the project is seriously less, and the life assistance in winter and spring is more difficult.
The proportion of the total number of disasters in the region (%):
The closer to the dark yellow area, the higher the proportion of the total number of disasters in the area.
The closer to the light yellow area, the lower the proportion of the total number of disasters in the area.
The white area in the figure shows: Non affected areas.
The orange sector in the figure shows: Drought disaster.
The blue sector in the figure shows: Floods and geological disasters.
The brown sector in the figure shows: Wind and hail disaster.
The green sector in the figure shows: Typhoon disaster.
The pink sector in the figure shows: Earthquake disaster.
The purple sector in the figure shows: Low temperature freezing and snow disaster.
