The online map of China's wind energy resources comes from the atlas of China National Geographic Map, prepared by the Editorial Committee of China National Geographic Map, and published by China Encyclopedia Press in November 2011. The scale in the map is 1: 60000000 In the figure, the distribution of wind energy resources in various regions of the country can be seen: wind energy-rich areas, wind energy-rich areas, and wind energy available areas.
Wind energy-rich areas are mainly distributed in the southeast coast, Shandong and eastern Liaoning coasts and their offshore islands, northern Inner Mongolia and the lower Songhua River.
The areas with rich wind energy are mainly from Shantou along the coast to the north, along the southeast coast to the coast of Jiangsu; from the northeast Tumen Estuary all the way through the Hexi Corridor to the north of Xinqi Alashan Pass south; the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The wind energy available areas are mainly in the coastal areas of Guangdong and Guangxi and in the coastal areas of Fujian; large and small Xing'an Mountains; connected from the Changbai Mountain to the west with the Yellow River and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River; Large area of East and West of China.
Wind energy-poor areas include the Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Nanling mountains, the Yarlun-tzanpo River Valley, and the western Tarim Basin. Wind energy in this area generally has no use value.
