Meiyu, also known as "mildew rain", is a cloudy and rainy weather phenomenon that often occurs in the Jianghuai Basin in China at the turn of spring and summer and generally lasts for a long time.At the turn of spring and summer, when the plums were ripe in the south of the Yangtze River, they were called "Meiyu" or "Huang Meiyu".Meiyu mainly occurred in the east of Yichang and north latitude 26the area between to 34 North Latitude. The main features are continuous rain, long duration, high temperature, high humidity.The normal condition during the rainy season is from “entering the plum” in mid-June to “producing the plum” in early July, which usually lasts about 20 to 30 days.In Zhejiang Province, the average time to enter the plum was June 14th, and the time to emerge was July 8th.
