Introduction
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is a multidisciplinary, neutral, non-governmental, non-profit academic international organization headquartered in Vienna, Austria. It enjoys a high reputation in the international academic community and has a good cooperative relationship with many international organizations. Its research results have a great impact on the decision-making of international organizations and countries. The research on new energy has been recognized by China and other countries that vigorously promote the development of new energy. IIASA's membership covers 20 countries in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe. Approved by The State Council, the National Natural Science Foundation of China officially joined IIASA on behalf of China in January 2002.
