Vegetation growth:
The green area in the figure shows: Well-growing vegetation.
The red area in the figure shows: Poor-growing vegetation.
White area in the figure shows: No data.
Based on MODIS vegetation index data products from July 12-27 and August 13-28, 2014, the drought grade and impact were evaluated by comparing the vegetation status index data of the same period since 2001. The drought mainly occurred in central and Western Henan, southern Shaanxi, central and southern Liaoning and Eastern Inner Mongolia.
