Online map of urban population water resources carrying capacity (water supply capacity recovery 60%) in Wenchuan in China comes from the Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Atlas, the scale of the map is 1:4300000, which is compiled by the Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Atlas compilation committee, and published by Chengdu Map Publishing House.
The Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Atlas is based on the work results of the expert group and closely focuses on the theme of "Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster". After the Wenchuan earthquake, the National Disaster Reduction Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly established an earthquake relief expert group, bringing together more than 30 ministries and commissions from the Ministry of Science and Technology, including the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Water Resources, the China Earthquake Administration, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Experts and scholars have carried out multidisciplinary comprehensive research on the Wenchuan earthquake, obtained a large amount of monitoring information and evaluation data, and obtained fruitful research results.
Water resources carrying capacity of urban population in Wenchuan extremely severe disaster area
Due to the large seasonal variation of river runoff in the disaster area, seasonal water shortage is more prominent. Generally, the available water resources account for about 24.2% of the total water resources, 70% of the water is lost in the form of flood, the availability is low, and there is not much water that can be directly used for production and life. In order to calculate the bearing capacity of water resources in the disaster area, the exploitable utilization of water resources in the disaster area is calculated according to the exploitable utilization rate of water resources of 30%.
The estimation of water demand in disaster areas is considered in four cases, namely (1) only domestic water is considered; (2) Domestic water + production water recovered to 60% before the disaster; (3) Domestic water + production water recovered to 80% before the disaster; (4) Domestic water + complete resumption of production.
Domestic water is estimated according to the water level of 200 liters / person per day. The production water is estimated according to the per capita production water level before the disaster (2005). For the extremely severe disaster areas, the overall loss of water resources is small, but from the perspective of water supply damage, it mainly affects the urban population. If the water consumption per person per day is limited to less than 120 liters and more than 60% of the water supply capacity is restored, the water for the urban population can be basically provided; If the water consumption is 200 liters / person per day, 12500 people will be short of water even if the water supply capacity is restored to 80%, while 127000 people will be short of water if the water supply capacity is restored to 60%; If the water consumption is 220 liters / person per day and the water supply capacity is restored to 80%, 37000 people will be short of water, while 176700 people will be short of water if the water supply capacity is restored to 60%.
