Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve

Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve is located in the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, south of Qinghai Province, bordering the southwest and the Tibet Autonomous Region, adjacent to the eastern Sichuan Province, Qinghai Province and the northern Mongolian Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Dulan County phase. The total area of 366,000 square kilometers, including 17 counties and cities, accounting for 43.88% of the total land area of Qinghai Province, the total population of 557,200, mainly Tibetan residents. Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve is the largest nature reserve in China, and is also the most concentrated area and ecologically sensitive area in the high altitude area of the world. August 19, 2000, in order to protect the natural resources of the Three Rivers, the Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve Monument officially unveiled, it also marks the Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve was formally established.

The Sanjiangyuan nature reserve is the hinterland and main body of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The mountainous terrain is dominated by the mountainous terrain. The terrain is high and the terrain is complex. The elevation is 3335-6564m. The lowest elevation lies in the Jinshajiang River in the southeast of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The average elevation of 4400m or so. Altitude of 4000 ~ 5800m high mountain is the main skeleton of the protected area landscape.

The climate in Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve is a typical plateau continental climate characterized by alternation of hot and cold seasons, with distinct year of dry and wet seasons, small annual temperature difference, large daily temperature difference, long sunshine duration, strong radiation, There are no four seasons to distinguish the climate characteristics.

The annual average temperature is -5.6 ~ 3.8 ℃. The hottest month in July the average temperature of 6.4-13.2 ℃, extreme maximum temperature of 28 ℃; the coldest month in January -6.6 ~ -13.8 ℃, the extreme minimum temperature of -48 ℃. The average annual precipitation is 262.2 ~ 772.8mm, of which 6 - September precipitation accounts for about 75% of the annual precipitation, while the proportion of night rainfall is 55% ~ 66%. Annual evaporation in the 730 ~ 1700mm between.

The soil of the Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve is a mountainous - terrestrial system in Qingnan Plateau. Since the geological development of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau is light and the glaciation from the Quaternary glaciation is not long, the modern glacier has more distribution, so far the crust is still rising, and the ecological conditions of the alpine ecosystem are strengthened continuously, resulting in weakening biochemical process , The physical effect of enhanced soil film forming the original matrix, soil into a short time, most of the soil thickness of thin, coarse texture, poor water retention, low fertility, and susceptible to erosion caused by soil erosion.

Due to the influence of geologic movement, the elevation of the source area of the Three Rivers is very different, and the mountainous area is higher and the relative elevation is higher, and the vertical distribution of soil is obvious. Alpine meadow soil, alpine steppe soil, mountain meadow soil, gray cinnamon soil, chestnut soil and mountain forest soil, with the altitude from low to high, Main, swamp meadow soil is more common, frozen soil is extremely developed.
