Introduction
The Woodwell Centre for Climate Research conducts scientific research to find solutions to the relationship between climate, humans and nature. We work with leaders and communities to make a just, meaningful impact on the climate crisis. One of the biggest barriers to action is a lack of understanding of the far-reaching impacts of climate change on human systems and the global economy. Woodwell is translating far-reaching climate impacts into specific socioeconomic terms - risk assessment, economic valuation, and cost-benefit analysis - that resonate at the highest levels of government and industry. This approach has the power to help change public perceptions, improve business decision-making, and inspire large-scale public policies to build green, sustainable, and just economies.
