The annual work report meeting from the Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service (DRRKS) Sub-platform of the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the Auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST) was held in Chinese Academy of Engineering on January 30, 2019.
The annual work report meeting from the Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service (DRRKS) Sub-platform of the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the Auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST) was held in Chinese Academy of Engineering on January 30, 2019. Mr. Dexiong Song, Executive deputy director of IKCEST; Chang Liu, Yingchen Ma, Ying Fang and Ye Zhang, Secretariat of IKCEST; Juanle Wang, the technical director of the DRRKS and the team members attended the meeting.
Prof. Juanle Wang made a report on the summary of the 2nd International Workshop for Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service and the construction of expert networks, the annual work of 2018 and the work plan for 2019 of the DRRKS Sub-platform and the progress of the 2019-2021 sub-platform construction programming of IKCEST.
Director Song and the IKCEST secretariats discussed and exchanged their comments about the report. It is generally accepted that the DRRKS team is pragmatic, earnest and down-to-earth, the work has been pushed forward strictly according to the plan and the team has achieved great results. It is hoped that data integration, knowledge application and service, as well as daily platform construction for disaster prevention and mitigation continue to be strengthened in the future. At the same time, some suggestions on international workshop on disaster risk reduction knowledge service, international training, and daily management are given.
On behalf of DRRKS team, Prof. Juanle Wang thanked Mr. Song and the IKCEST secretariats for their guidance and encouragement, and the DRRKS team will work hard to achieve good results.
