Brief Introduction

Korea, the full name of the Republic of Korea, referred to as South Korea. Founded on August 15, 1948, it is a republic located in the south of the Korean Peninsula in East Asia. Its name comes from the three Korean tribes (Chenhan, Mahan and Bianhan) in the south of the Korean Peninsula in ancient times, the English name of Korea comes from the ancient name of "Koryo". The executive capital of South Korea is Sejong. The presidential palace and Parliament are still in Seoul. South Korea has become a country with two capitals.

South Korea is located in the south of the Korean Peninsula in Northeast Asia, surrounded by the sea on three sides, bordering on the Yellow Sea in the west, facing Jiaodong Peninsula across the sea, the Korean Strait in the southeast, the sea of Japan in the East, and adjacent to Korea across the 38th line demilitarized zone in the north, its territory accounts for 4/9 of the total area of the Korean Peninsula. In the history of South Korea, it was a vassal state of the Central Plains Dynasty, in the late Qing Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty was defeated in the Sino Japanese war. South Korea broke away from the vassal relationship with the Central Plains Dynasty and later established the "Korean Empire", it was annexed by Japan in 1910 and regained its independence after World War II. The Korean War broke out in 1950, and the north and the South split, the northern countries called North Korea and the southern countries called South Korea.

South Korea is a member of the group of 20 and the organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD). It is also the founder of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the East Asia Summit, it is one of the four little dragons in Asia.

Since the 1960s, the South Korean government has implemented the "export-oriented" economic development strategy and created the world-famous "Hanjiang miracle". South Korea's information technology industry has been strong for many years, and its manufacturing and technology industries are developed. In addition to the world-famous high-speed Internet services, flat panel display devices such as memory, liquid crystal display and plasma display screen, as well as mobile phones, have a leading position in the world market.
