Brief Introduction

The Republic of Moldova (English: the Republic of Moldova) is a land locked country in Southeast Europe, bordering Romania and Ukraine, with the capital of Chisinau.

It belongs to temperate continental climate. Plain and hills are distributed alternately in the territory, with Highlands in the middle and chernozem accounting for two-thirds of the land. The north and the middle part belong to forest grassland belt, and the south part is grassland. There are many rivers, but most of them are short. The Dniester River and the Prut River are the two major rivers in the territory with about 2200 natural springs.

The former Soviet Union Republic became independent in 1991 and is now a member of CIS. Moldova is an independent, unified and indivisible country. It adheres to democracy under the condition of political pluralism, and implements a social system of presidential system, separation of three powers, and coexistence of public and private ownership. Foreign troops are not allowed in the country.

It established diplomatic relations with China on January 30, 1992.

The Republic of Moldova is located at the junction of the Russian plain and the Carpathian Mountains, belonging to the temperate continental climate. The Atlantic cyclones blow a lot of moist and warm air to Moldova, but sometimes it also brings the Mediterranean heat wave full of water vapor, resulting in Moldova's summer rainstorm. A large amount of dry air from the southeast often causes drought, while the Arctic cold air, which can cause cold waves in early or late autumn, seldom invades Moldova. Moldova enjoys a good reputation as a "sunshine country". The duration of continuous sunshine is 2060 hours in the north and 2330 hours in the south, the plant growth period is more than 210 days.
