In the 2nd century BC, Rome became the overlord of the Mediterranean. To around the 1st century AD expanded to become a vast empire across Europe, Asia and Africa, dominate the Mediterranean. To the year 395, the Roman Empire split into two things. The empire of Rome, which died in 476, was destroyed by the Ottoman Empire in 1453, and the Eastern Roman Empire (the Byzantine Empire) was one of the mighty empires of the ancient world, as in the Qin and Han dynasties.
During the reign of Emperor Antonio Emperor Trajan (AD 98-117), the Roman Empire reached its maximum, with an unprecedented economic boom, from the west of Spain to the Euphrates River in the east, from the north of Africa to the North Rhine and The Danube area, the Mediterranean Sea into the empire.
