The natural resources of mountains in northeast of China

The majority mountains overall extant in a trend of North-East trending and North- North-East trending, and next is northwest-southeast trending, the altitude is 500~1200 meters above the sea level. Da Hinggan Mountains, located in the west of the region, source from Mohe county, upper reaches to Heilongjiang, the upper reaches of Xar Moron River with a gradually increasing altitude and whose length reach to 1400 kilometers. North reaches to Tao'er River, the altitude of the mountain is 600~1700 meters above sea level. There are obvious differences between west slope and east slope, as west area transits gradually to Inner Mongolia Plateau, while the east as the birthplace of Nenjiang main stream and its right bankstributary is quite steep. The altitude of the peak of the area, the south part of which situate at Inner Mongolia,Huanggangliang mountain stands at 2029 meters. The south of Daxinganling mountains continuously stretch to Yanshan mountains'eastern, and the whole area is called Liaoxi mountains, composed by Qilaotu Mountain, Pine Ridge, Nulu'erhu Hill, YiwuLv Mountain and some other hills, rises to a level of 500~1000 meters.

As the dividing crest of Heilongjiang and Songhuajiang, Xiao Hinggan Mountains cover a distance of 360 kilometers and the average width is 100~300 meters, with a terrain from a higher altitude mountains of 800~1000 meters above the sea level in southeast gradually downward to hills about 300 meters in northwest. The east mountains, extending from the Wusuli River, as the Wandashan Mountain, through Laoye Hill, Zhangguangcai Hill, Changbai Range and some other mountains to Qianshan mountain close to the Yalu River, with a range of 1360 kilometers, and the peak of Northeast of China, Baitou mountain belongs to Paekdusan.
