Uganda, located in the east of Africa and across the equator, borders Kenya in the East, Tanzania and Rwanda in the south, D.R.Congo in the west, and South Sudan in the north, with a total area of 241500 square kilometers. Most of the territory is located in the East African plateau, with many lakes and an average altitude of 1000-1200 meters, known as "plateau water town".
The word "Uganda" was originally used by the East African coastal residents to call Buganda, the country of the Baganda, from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, Europeans extended its meaning to neighboring areas.
Uganda and Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda set up the East African community, a unified economic market was established in 2010, and will strive to merge into a unified federal state, the East African Federation in 2015.
