The Federal Republic of Somalia is located in the most eastern part of the African continent on the Somali Peninsula, with the longest coastline in Africa, and a total area of 637660 square kilometers.

Somalia is the only sea route for cargo ships to enter and leave the Suez Canal, due to the continuous civil war, the social and educational systems have collapsed for many years. Since the 20th century, the local people have been engaged in piracy. It is difficult to estimate the amount of extortion every year by the Pirates of this country, so that the United Nations has launched an investigation and attack on the pirate bases of Somalia.
