Thai Kingdom (Thai: รา ชอาณา จัก ร ไทย), known as Thailand (Thailand). Is a constitutional monarchy in Southeast Asia. Thailand is located in the middle of the Indochina Peninsula, its western and northern and Myanmar, Andaman Sea border, northeast of Laos, southeast of Cambodia, south of the narrow peninsula and Malaysia.
Thai name Siam, May 11, 1949, the Thai people with their own national name, the "Siam" to "Thai", mainly to take its "free" meaning.
Thailand's liberal economic policy was one of the "four small tigers in Asia" in the 1990s, but suffered a major setback in the "1989 economic crisis" and then plunged into recession and stagnation. Thailand is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and one of the founding members, and also a member of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), ASEM and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
