Introduction
The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), founded in 1895 and headquartered in New York, USA, is one of the world's largest and most accomplished non-profit non-governmental organizations dedicated to protecting wildlife and its habitats. As of 2013, there are more than 500 field projects in 64 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and North America. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is committed to protecting wildlife and their natural habitats in the wild. Under the leadership of the Bronx Zoo, we take a rigorous scientific approach to international conservation activities and education, and manage the world's largest urban wildlife park system. It is hoped that these actions will change people's attitudes towards nature and give them a better vision of human and wildlife living in harmony, both locally and globally. WCS is committed to protecting nature because we believe it is necessary to maintain the integrity of life on Earth. Based at the Bronx Zoo since 1895, WCS has worked to protect wildlife and wild habitats around the world.
