In July 1982, he received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Yunnan University; In November 1985, he received a master's degree in seismic engineering and protection engineering from the Institute of Engineering Mechanics of the State Seismological Bureau; In 1993 June, he received a doctorate in applied mathematics from Beijing Normal University.
Work Experience
From 1996 to 2006, he successively engaged in cooperative research in Hong Kong, Belgium, the United States and Germany. He was previously Director of laboratory for Resource Development and Disaster Reduction, Institute of resource science, Beijing Normal University, Deputy Director of Key Laboratory of Environmental Evolvement and Natural Disaster, Ministry of Education,Deputy director of the Institute of resources, technology and engineering, Beijing Normal University. He is currently the director of the system simulation and disaster simulation research center of the Academic of disaster reduction and emergency management Ministry of Civil Affairs & Ministry of Education.
Achievement
In 2009, the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award: Disciplinary Construction of Disaster Risk Science and Innovative Talent Training Mode; In 2005, the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education: the research on regional natural disaster system; 2002, Beijing Normal University Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award: Natural Disaster Risk Analysis; In 1996, third prize of scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi Province: the application of fuzzy information analysis in earthquake and disaster prevention and control; In 1992,third Prize of Gansu Science and Technology Progress: Application of Fuzzy Mathematics and Gray System Theory in Geological Hazard Analysis; In 1988, Third Prize of Science and Technology Progress of the State Seismological Bureau: Application of Fuzzy Mathematics in Earthquake Engineering.
