Korea Meteorological Administration (Korea Meteorological Administration) is the South Korean national meteorological services. The agency was established in 1904 and joined the World Meteorological Organization in 1956. It uses a unified model of software suite for numerical weather forecasting.
In 2008, the governing body of the Korea Meteorological Agency was transferred to the Ministry of Environment of Korea. Headquartered in Seoul, Daebang-dong. The duties of the Korea Meteorological Administration include five major categories: the Regional Office of the Meteorological Agency, the Joint Office of Meteorological Observatory, Observatory and Meteorological Observations.
