the Irish Meteorological Service was established in 1936 to provide accurate weather information for transatlantic aviation. In 1979 its headquarters were moved to Glasnevin, Dublin.It's mission is to monitor, analyse and predict Ireland’s weather and climate, and to provide a range of high quality meteorological and related information to our customers.
