A heat wave in India has killed over 1,100 people in the country in under a week. Most of the deaths have been among construction workers, the elderly, and the homeless, and were caused by dehydration and heat stroke, according to officials. Temperatures have reached 122°F in some parts of the country melting sections of roads in some cities. Are India’s increasingly scorching heat waves a result of global climate change?
