Introduction
China National Commission for Disaster Reduction ,formerly known as "China international Commission for Disaster Reduction",approved by the State Council in 2005.NCDR China's main tasks are: 1) to study and formulate the national disaster reduction guidelines, policies and planning;2) to coordinate major disaster reduction activities and guide the local disaster relief work;3)to promote international exchanges and cooperation in disaster mitigation.The specific work of the China National Commission for Disaster Reduction shall be borne by the Ministry of civil affairs.
