Introduction
The European advisory group on science and technology (e-stag) was established in April 2018 to meet the needs of the science and technology community to better integrate into disaster risk reduction (DRR) efforts, as well as what the sendai framework calls disaster risk reduction for 2015-2030.The goal of e-stag is to address the new challenges in DRR, with a particular focus on improving risk knowledge in 55 countries in Europe and central Asia. E-stag experts aim to contribute to the research and evidence-based implementation of the sendai framework, particularly in assessing gaps and challenges in developing recommendations. In this context, the work of e-stag aims to provide priority support to national and local authorities, policies and decision makers, as well as to private investors and other relevant DRR stakeholders.
