This publication is developed by a group of individuals from the Asia Science Technology Academia Advisory Group (ASTAAG) with support from researchers, scientists from different countries. A call for submission was made for case studies on application of science and technology for disaster risk reduction. A total of 28 case studies on13 countries and 4 cross cutting cases were submitted. The publication is supported by Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) International Programme Office (IPO) and Future Earth Research project on Integrated Risk Governance. This publication is not the offcial voice of any country or any United Nations organization. The analysis presented in this publication is of the author (s)mentioned for each country.
