Abstract:
Exploring the green development model of "Belt and Road" was the fundamental path to realize the coordinated and sustainable development of regional economy, resources and ecological environment along the "Belt and Road". This lecture systematically studied the national resources, environment, economic patterns and ecological risks of along the “Belt and Road”, and proposes a green development model, aiming to provide scientific basis and scientific support for implementing “Belt and Road” initiative in countries along the “Belt and Road”. The lecture analyzed that the "Belt and Road" straddled Asia, Europe and Africa. The eastern region connected the rapidly developing Asia-Pacific economic circle, the western region connected the developed European economic circle, and the middle was Central Asia, South Asia and other continental hinterlands local condition, which were resource-rich, ecologically fragile, sensitive, fragmented and backward economic development level; The regions along the route faced major resource and environmental risks and sustainable development challenges such as jointly addressing global climate change, alleviating the water crisis, combating desertification, managing cross-border pollution, eradicating poverty, preventing natural disasters and the spread of epidemics; Green development models such as ecological civilization, circular economy, eco-city and eco-tourism were proposed.
