On July 13, 2015, a group of experts headed by Liu Feng, expert of the Expert Panel and Secretary-General of the Think Tank Foundation, International Cooperation Center (ICC) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), paid a visit to the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST), and had a meeting with Yi Jian, Deputy Director-elect of IKCEST, Pan Gang, Liu Chang and Fu Zhijie from the IKCEST secretariat.
Yi Jian introduced the background of establishment, missions, development status and long-term planning of IKCEST to the expert group headed by Liu Feng. Liu expressed his affirmation of the missions of IKCEST and put forward suggestions for its development, including strengthening project construction, cooperation with local governments and collaborative innovation to serve regional economic development and the national strategy of “One Belt, One Road”. Both sides expressed desire for future cooperation.
