The online map of disaster frequency distribution by disaster type in Anhui Province in 2014 is from the Atlas of natural disasters in China in 2014, the book is edited by the National Disaster Reduction Commission Office, the Disaster relief Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Disaster Reduction Center of Ministry of Civil Affairs, and is published by China Map Publishing House. The scale of this map is 1:4000000.

Anhui Province

In 2014, the disaster situation in Anhui Province was the same as that in recent years, with floods and droughts as the main disasters, the number of dead and missing persons, the disaster area of crops, the area of crop failure, collapsed houses, damaged houses and direct economic losses were the lowest in recent years.

1.The overall situation of the disaster is stable, showing a trend of drought in the north and waterlogging in the south

The overall disaster situation was stable throughout the year, and there was no particularly serious natural disaster, and the loss caused by the disaster was lighter than that in 2013. The spatial and temporal distribution of annual rainfall is uneven, the rainfall in the north is relatively small, and the southern region has frequent heavy rainfall. The characteristics of flood in the South and drought in the north are obvious.

2.The occurrence time of disasters is concentrated, and the local disasters are more serious

The disasters mainly occurred from June to September, accounting for 76.5% of the total number of disasters in the whole year; the disaster areas mainly concentrated in Lu'an, Anqing, Chizhou in Dabie Mountain Area and Huangshan and Xuancheng City in southern Anhui mountain area, which were repeatedly affected and repeatedly affected, which were the main disaster areas of floods and typhoons in the whole year, and the losses were relatively serious.

3.Active seismicity

The annual seismicity is relatively active, with 9 earthquakes with magnitude ≥ 2.5. Among them, on April 20, Huoshan County, Lu'an City, an earthquake with magnitude 4.3 occurred in Huoshan County, Lu'an City, the epicenter area was strongly felt, and some residents' houses were cracked and damaged. Lu'an city and neighboring cities such as Hefei and anqing were felt by the earthquake. In October, Jinzhai County experienced several low-level earthquakes.
